Jayne Root, PT, MS, OCS, CIMT

Jayne holds a master’s degree in physical therapy from D’Youville College located in Buffalo, New York, where she graduated cum laude. While an undergraduate, she played volleyball and was captain of the DYC Lady Spartans team, earning awards for NEAC all-academic team, coach’s award, first-team all conference (4 years), MVP award (2 seasons), and continues to hold school records. Since becoming a physical therapist, Jayne has continued her education, completing two certification programs: she is a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT) and a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Jayne believes in a holistic approach to physical therapy; she uses manual techniques including muscle energy, joint mobilization, myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, therapeutic exercise and patient education. Jayne enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, hiking, photography and flying her stunt kites.
